1. Structural Features of peanut shelling machine
The main structure of peanut shell machine consists of stoner and shelling machine. The stoner contains feeding hopper, gravity separation sieve, fan and the drum connected with peanut shelling machine. 1; the shelling machine contains gird board, thinner grid board, rotor, fan, gravity sifter, discharging mouth, fan for the second time and drum2 etc. It has the features of compact structure, elegant design, easy operation, stable performance and reliable and easy to replace the sifter cloth etc.
2. Working principle of peanut shelling machine
The peanut kernel and shell come through the gravity stoner. Under the force of gravity sifter, the heavy weight sundries like stones move upward and removed from the machine; the kernel go down along with the sifter of gravity stoner.
After removing the stones in the peanuts, the peanuts run though the sifter downward. The peanut falls into the feeding hopper automatically and blows by the fan for the first time. Then the peanuts fall into the drum 1 and move upward. Under the hitting force of grid board and rotor, the kernel and shell are separated. The shelled kernel and shell fall down and pass through the sifter at the same time. When pass through the fan tube, the fan blow out most of the light weight shell from the machine. While the kernel and the small amount of unshelled peanuts fall down to the gravity sifter. After screening, the kernel went upward through the sifter, and discharged from the mouth to the bags. For the peanut which are not shelled, they move downward through the sifter and pass through the discharging mouth and flow into the fan for the second time, and blow to the drum 2. The thinner grid board shelled the peanut for the second time and graded by the gravity sifter. The peanut kernel move upward and the shell are blown out of the machine. At last, it realized the aim of shelling.
The matching production motor is 6-7 KW, the production efficiency is 1500kg/h.
3. How to use peanut shelling machine
1) Preparation of moisture content of peanut before shelling
The moisture content of peanut should be up to the standard before shelling; that is the peanut should not be too dry or too wet. Too dry, the peanut has high broken rate; too wet, the shelling speed is low. The moisture content of peanut is usually kept at about 9%. In the north region, people usually shell the peanut in winter. That is because the peanut stored in winter in rural area is usually dry. For the proper moisture content, the below method could be adopted; using about 5 kg warm water to spread on 100kg peanut evenly and covered them with plastic film for about 10 hours. Then dry them under the sunshine for about 1 hour before shelling.
During the other seasons, the plastic thin film should be covered for about 6 hours, and the other operational method is the same.
2) Machine preparation before peanut shelling
Before shelling, check up the shelling machine is stable or not to ensure the stable of the machine and ensure the safe operation. Next, it is necessary to check up the fastening part is tight or not, the rotating part is flexible or not, each bearing has enough lubricant oil or not, to ensure the proper tightness of the fastening part and flexible of rotating part. If each of the bearing is lack of lubricant oil or not enough, it is necessary to add the oil fully with the oil gun, to ensure the lubrication of each bearing.
Before using, connect 380 volt 3 phrase electricity and check up the voltage of electricity.
To ensure the safety of the operator, it is necessary to use ground protection for the machine shell if the electricity is not 3 phrases during production. That is to connect the machine shell to the ground protection by the wires. If it is use 3 phrase electricity, it is not necessary to connect the ground protection. Before the power is no, the operators should idle run the machine for several rounds, check up whether the rotation is flexible or not. If there are hitting sound, it is necessary to found out the reason before opening the machine.
After the power is no, the machine should be tested and observe the direction of motor is right or wrong. When the motor start to work, the rotating direction should be identical to the marking direction on the machine. Let the machine idle run for several minutes, observe the machine shell has abnormal sound or not. When the machine is working normally and stably, the shelling process should begin.
3) Selecting the sifter cloth
Before shelling, it is necessary to select the screen cloth with proper size of meshed. It can greatly improve the broken rate.
In addition, the broad at the discharging mouth should be closed and hang on the gunny-bag which use for accepting the shelled kernel.
4) Preparation of gravity stoner
Before operation of the gravity stoner, the bottom of the screen should be spread with peanut fruits. In this way, which avoid of strong wind force blow the peanuts out of the bottom of screen after the opening of gravity stoner.
Open the power switch, and make the machine idle run for about 2 minutes before normal operation. The function of the gravity stoner is one the one hand, to remove the impurities in the peanut; on the other hand, it provide a driving force to the peanut to enter into the feeding hopper by the help of the force.
One point should be remained that the peanut which removed the stones should not be discharged completely after the normal operation. Part of the peanuts should be remained at the bottom of the screen for holding, at the same time, it can avoid of blowing out the peanut from the screen.
5) Operation of peanut shelling machine
Open the switch of the peanut shelling machine, and the peanuts in the gravity stoner begin to be conveyed to the next stop—the feeding hopper to shelling in succession.
The feeding speed of peanut should remain evenly during operation. The best speed is 20-30Kg/minute.
After the whole shelling process, the peanut kernel comes to the discharging mouth one after another. At this time, the board at the discharging mouth is closed which prevent the peanut from flowing out temporarily.
6) Attentions of using
The feeding speed should be evenly with proper amount, the iron scrap, stones and other impurities are avoid of mixing into the peanuts. It avoids of crushing of kernel or mechanical accidents.
The temperature of motor should be kept under 60 degree during use. The bearing is below 25 degree. When the temperature is high, it is necessary to found the failure and solve the problem.
It is necessary to reduce the feeding speed at the time of too many broken peanut kernel. Operator is prohibited to stand by the side of driving belt to avoid of injury.
4. Maintenance of peanut shelling machine
The peanut shelling machine uses the V belt transmission. After a period of time of suing, the belt is loose and become longer under the stretching force. Therefore, the tightness of the belt and gap of each matching parts should be examined regularly and adjusted timely.
During operation, take notice of the rotating speed, sound and temperature of the machine is normal or not. Timely examine the temperature of each bearing; the fastening screws and pinches of each parts is loose or not after shelling one kind of feedstock or after one day’s operation; If the flexible parts are found, especially for the high speed part like the up or down blade on the fan, the down blade are easy to wearing or cracked; examine the mending plate at the outer surface of the blades are wearing and deform or not; Repair or replace the broken part timely.
Hanging shaft of sifter and the bearing with movable joint should be examined regularly and check up whether there is wearing due to the lacking of lubricant oil. Add the lubricant oil or replace the broken part when they are found.
After every shaft, the bottom of the screen—meshes of the blade should be cleaned by the wire brush.
When the peanut harvest season is end, the machine should be examined completely. Examine the operation of each bearing and the wearing condition; examine the sifter bottom is deformed or cracked; examine the grading sifter’s wearing condition. After finished the examination, repair the broken part and remove the dirty dust and remained peanuts in the machine.
After using of peanut shelling machine, the belt should be unpacked and the machine should be place in the dry storehouse. The unpacked belt should be hanged on the wall indoors without sunshine.
